Large Grid-Tie Systems

Large grid-tie systems can be used for home or business facilities to generate as much clean electricity as you need. With larger systems, it is important to know your utility's policy for net metering and how they handle net surpluses. In any case, as long as they allow true net metering (most do) you can usually get full retail credit for all the power generated by the solar system, up to the point where your net usage is zero on a yearly basis. After that many utilities will still pay for electricity sold to them but possibly only at wholesale prices.
