Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway

The Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway (Formerly knows as the EMU, or Energy Management Unit) is a communications gateway that enables the Micro-inverter to convey performance information of every module to the Enlighten website. The EMU can be plugged into any standard AC outlet. Enphase Micro-inverters convey performance information over the existing power line. No additional wiring is required. Installation is as simple as plugging the Ethernet cable of the EMU into your broadband router. Performance data is now transmitted using broadband Ethernet protocols for immediate access to performance information.

Enlighten pricing structure changed as of 2/1/09. The Envoy Energy Management Unit now comes bundled with a 90-day trial subscription to Enlighten. Thereafter subscriptions can be purchased at (MSRP) $2/micro-inverter per year, or $9/micro-inverter for a 5-year subscription.
